What is a simile?

• A  simile is a type of figurative language that describes something by comparing it to something else with words like or as.

Today we learnt three

1. That once the rice I cooked you need to ensure that it is stored correctly and for no longer than 24 hours before you, the risk of getting food poisoning from the bacteria called listeria. (a type of bacterium which infects humans and other warm-blooded animals through contaminated food).
2. That 4-60 degree is the danger zone 
3. The temperature where bacteria best grows is the optimal bacteria growth ( 37*)

Write a short paragraph describing a scene with all five senses

The sun shimmers off the open sea, waves thumps the side rocks with a splash, a breeze carrying the stench and taste of the ocean through the air.

I learnt that not everyone is being treated the way they should be. Slavery is still a thing that happens.   

 1. My understanding of tone/shading has improved
2. Using a structure can help me draw better 
3. Next time I will use a darker pencil with a light pencil
