So far in English, we have learnt about Language Features, Sensory Language, Metaphors and Similes and Slam Poetry

What makes “good” creative writing,

• Be Creative
• Write what you know
• Push yourself
• Write what you like

I enjoyed the Sensory Language. I like the challenge of having to use all five senses.

Metaphors & Similes

• What is a metaphor?
• A metaphor states that one thing is another thing

What is a simile?

• A  simile is a type of figurative language that describes something by comparing it to something else with words like or as.

Write a short paragraph describing a scene with all five senses

The sun shimmers off the open sea, waves thumps the side rocks with a splash, a breeze carrying the stench and taste of the ocean through the air.
