Volcanoes are formed when magma from the Earth's mantle. The magma forces its way to the surface. It erupts to form lava flows and ash. Over time as the volcano continues to erupt, it will get bigger and bigger.
Tambora
- Where is Tambora?
It is located in Indonesia.
-When did it last erupt?
It last erupted in 1967.
-How much damage did Mount Tambora cause
The blast was so big it created tsunamis that killed at least 10000 islanders.
A total of 100000 people died.
Experiment - Explosion
- 4 spatulas of potassium iodide in 20ml of water
- Dishwashing Liquid
- Food Colouring
