Equipment List:
- 1 meter paper roll
- 2 meter tape
- Cardboard square
-Metal Rod
- Frame/Trolly
Method: Use the given frame/trolly and attach a normal shaped sail to the metal rod using the tape to tie it down, we will use a high-level leaf blower aiming it at the centre of the sail to push it the full ten meters.
Results:
We had a time of 14.7secs with a distance of 16.3, making a velocity of 1.14
Conclusion:
In conclusion, I notice that the bigger the sail the more wind it caught, in theory creating more speed increasing the distance. I think that if I had centred my sail and made it bigger I could have increased my distance to at least 20 meters.
I think the weather had a big part of my land boat did so well.
